Program Details

Gazers & Pathfinders (6 weeks-12 months):

Infants Schedules are individualized and are based off the family’s routines & schedules as well as the infants ques. We give the infant plenty of time for uninterrupted play. Instead of trying to teach babies new skills, we appreciate and admire what babies are doing. Our Teachers take the intentionally teaching approach to support social-emotional, cognitive, and language and literacy development by reading, and talking every process out. In return teaching the child these critical areas of development.

Nutrition at Kozy Kids and Family Style Eating

Good nutrition plays an important role in the health of your children and contributes to their mental attitude and behavior. At Kozy Kids, your child will be provided with well-balanced, nutritional meals, which include whole organic grains, fresh organic fruits, organic vegetables, and organic milk. We are a nut-free environment. All snacks and meals prepared by our Chef are included in your tuition.

If your child will be arriving after breakfast or morning snack is served–please make sure your child has eaten at home before arriving. If they have not eaten and the meal/snack has already been served, they will have to wait until next meal/snack time to eat. For children under 2 years old, meals are on a more flexible schedule as they are not yet ready for certain meal times.

At Kozy Kids, you will see children and teachers sitting together at tables with table cloths, serving themselves from child-size platters, pouring drinks from pitchers, and sharing thoughts and experiences as they eat. When spills and splatters occur, children (with teachers' guidance) wipe them up. Before the meal, children help set the table and afterwards, clean their own area. Self-service fosters independence and empowers children to feel in control of their choices, thus eliminating power struggles. Teachers and children encourage one another to try different foods.

Daily Reports

Kozy Kids uses a program called Kaymbu to track daily activities, displaying documentation boards for the scaffolding process through our story boards, your child’s homemade nutritious meals and let you know how much they ate, their potty times/diapers, and daily pictures. These reports are sent to you via text and email at the end of each day.

Our yearly calendar is on the parent board in front entry, this shows days’ and events that are coming up such as holidays, vacations, in-services days, and closures.

Twice a month on Friday we meet in our indoor/outdoor area, for gymnastics with Coach Sarah.

Music/Dance

Music and movement is incorporated daily to our curriculum.

Spanish Classes

We currently offer Spanish in our daily activities in our 1’s, 2’s and are looking to go from Infant through Preschool.

Sign Language

We teach sign language in our Infants, 1’s and 2’s classes. This helps infants and toddlers to develop their language, reasoning skills, confidence and self-esteem. Communication is at the heart of child development, be it cognitive, social, emotional, or behavioral.
