Kozy Kids Enrichment Center’s Response to COVID-19

Daily Health Checks

Kozy Kids is conducting daily health screenings on all students, staff and parents who accompany children at drop-off. Our wall mounted touchless thermometer allows us to take temperatures quickly and accurately. We also have a handheld touchless thermometer as a backup option. Only children, immunized parents and staff are allowed inside the school. We can bring your child to you, one family at a time to our lobby, if not immunize. We recommend vaccines to protect our families, staff and at risk-members in our families homes. During daily health checks students, staff and accompanying parents are required to answer questions pertaining to illness symptoms and exposure to COVID-19. Students and staff with specific illness symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 will not be permitted to enter the building and must follow specific protocols before returning to Kozy Kids.

Health and Safety Protocols

Kozy Kids has put increased sanitizing and disinfecting procedures into place. All high touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized several times throughout the day. Toys and materials are cleaned after each use and children are given their own set of materials when possible. Each child’s bedding and linens are sent home to be washed daily. Teachers are required to be vaccinated, and wear gloves when serving food (family style meals on hold, until further notice). We have also increased handwashing requirements for students and staff. Designated sick room available to quarantine students with illness symptoms while waiting for parent pick up.

Face Coverings

All Teachers and staff are required to wear a face covering when inside the building and during outdoor play. Our face covering requirement for children ages 2 and up is gently implemented and we will not force or exclude a child who resists wearing a face covering. Children 5yrs of age attending Kindergarten or not are required to wear masks. Kozy Kids follows the CDC guidelines for the proper use and wearing of face coverings.

Impact of Actions Outside our Program

Kozy Kids staff understands that our actions outside the program affects all our families and Teachers. Social distancing, wearing a face covering and avoiding large gatherings are highly encouraged. Parents and families are also educated on how their actions outside the program affect the students and staff.

Visitors During COVID

At this time, we are minimizing the amount of people entering our building. Enrichment class teachers, state certifiers and vendors are vaccinated. We are not allowing visitors. All tours and interviews will be conducted virtually.
